9:45 a.m. - Celebration Worship

Let’s celebrate the Lord! The songs in this weekly service draw from the most familiar songs of the church as well as new songs of praise that focus our attention on Christ. The worship choir, praise team and band will lead us to the throne, followed by an insightful sermon that will challenge our minds and stir our hearts to action.

11:00 am

Kid’s church is available for kindergarten through fifth grade in the DMZ. If they attend LIFEgroup at 9:45 they will be taken to the DMZ after class.

live forward

OUR VISION No matter where you step into the Lakeside story, you are an important part of a growing ministry. Let’s face it…we all need a nudge of motivation to inspire us to action. What better way to use your energy than to be about the work of God? You are part of a church that will challenge you to find your purpose and live out God’s calling every day. We don’t want any lost generations around here. God has an incredible purpose for you and we want to challenge you to be the one that God has called you to be, so that together we push away darkness and shine the light of Jesus into our world. You belong here at this time for a greater purpose. There’s much to do in your lifetime. We want you to live forward and not miss out on all that God has for you. You’ll find that every generation has a place at Lakeside Baptist Church. There is a single focus and you are an important part of it.

LIFEgroups – We believe the heart of how our people connect is through Bible studies and LIFEgroups. This gives you the opportunity to get to know others in our church and develop relationships with them as you learn to follow Christ and develop a deeper relationship with him. We offer Sunday morning LIFEgroup for babies through adults. The preschool area (babies-4 years) has LIFEgroup at 9:45 and 11:00. Kids and student classes are at 9:45 and we offer classes for adults at both 9:45 and 11:00. If you would like information about our LIFEgroups or Community LIFEgroups or help in finding a LIFEgroup class for you and/or your family members contact the church office at 817-573-2094.

For the Kids – Your babies and preschoolers will enjoy their experience at Lakeside in our Preschool area. Preschool Minister, Dawn Weeks has many wonderful volunteers who love loving on your precious little ones. For the elementary kids, Jim Horn keeps things rockin' upstairs with Children's Church, Sunday School, AWANA, APEX and more! If you've got teenagers then they will love hangin' out in The Edge with Preston Cave, Student Minister for Lakeside Students (LS) on Wednesdays and on Sunday mornings @9:45 for LIFEgroup.

Ephesians 5:15 tells us to “be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise…” The desire our heart is to provide our kids with the safest environment as our church partners with you in the spiritual education of your children. All of our children workers at Lakeside are pre-screened through background checks and MinistrySafe training.

GIVING FAQs

Your giving impacts lives - both now and for eternity. Easing hunger, freeing people from addiction, and taking the Good News of Jesus Christ next door and around the world - these are just a few of the many ways your generous gifts are allowing Lakeside to reach the lost and help the hurting. Giving enables our church to carry out its mission statement - “to equip all families, embrace every generation, and engage the world for Christ.”

Biblical Reasons to Give- It acknowledges that all we have comes from God and belongs to God (Psalm 24:1, James 1:17)- It is an act of worship (Proverbs 3:9)

It is an act of obedience (Deuteronomy 14:22-23)

It supports ministers and provides for the less fortunate (Deuteronomy 14:28-29)- God blesses the giver (Proverbs 3:10, Proverbs 11:24-25, Malachi 3:10, Luke 6:38)

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”  2 Corinthians 9:6-8 (NIV)
